A REQUEST FOR SUPPORT
Every year, since 2000, The Steeltown Friends of Mohawk Music has been running various fund-raising galas for the express purpose of enhancing the fine music program at Mohawk College.
Funds raised have floated full tuition scholarships, underwritten dozens of celebrity master classes, purchased musical instruments and most recently, established three endowment funds, now nearing $200,000 in total value.
We have been able to do this through the fantastic support of a number of businesses and private individuals, who have stepped forward as generous sponsors of our many fund-raising concerts.
Traditionally, the concert presentations have been in the fall of the year. This year is different. We are combining an exciting spring artist-in-residence and concert, with our fundraising efforts, to be held over March 8 and 9, 2012.
You will recall that last January we brought the exciting and legendary reed player, Tom Scott to Hamilton and the concert was superb, receiving critical acclaim from all quarters.
This year, we are extremely pleased to welcome guitar icon Larry Carlton. As you will read from the accompanying biography, Larry Carlton is a major international artist who has been nominated for 19(!!) Grammy awards.
We clearly need your help to make this work. Whether you are one of our many returning sponsors, or new to the fold, we welcome your assistance in making this event a success in every regard.

In return, we guarantee you a fantastic two-day session, culminating with a night of exciting music as you listen to a grand master and a wonderful group of top notch, talented musicians.

DIAMOND – $1,500.00+

MARQUEE – $1,000.00
