“This is Bob Brookmeyer congratulating Mohawk College on thirty years of superior status in music education in a creative fashion…keep it up!”.
“This is Kenny Wheeler speaking from London, England. I was there not too long ago and was impressed with the students and the tutors and I think that the school is in very capable hands.”
“This is Ed Bickert. I’d like to congratulate the Mohawk College music program on their 30th anniversary and special thanks to the Steeltown Friends of Mohawk Music for their generous support over the years.”
“This is Phil Nimmons. Many things stand out in the music program at Mohawk College, but one stands apart: and that is community involvement. Spearheaded by the Steeltown Friends of Mohawk Music it is a unique and passionate expression of dedication and commitment – a rewarding partnership for all, especially the students.”
“This is Ranee Lee. You should be proud of your obvious achievements and success of those who have come through the music program at Mohawk College. You’ve gained the respect through your dedication and knowledge of your peers, the students and the nation for the enormous contributions that your alumni have made in every aspect of the music industry.”
“This is Norma Winstone. I came to teach at the college for a week in early 2004 with Kenny Wheeler and strangely enough both Kenny Wheeler and I were talking about the college last week and we both agreed that the treatment we received was unsurpassed and the students were just great and very enthusiastic and I think the teaching faculty obviously had a great deal to do with this and they do a great job.”
“This is Chuck Daellenbach from the Canadian Brass…there must have been something really, really special in the water in Hamilton back then. We were getting our start with Canadian Brass at about the same time and now here we all are celebrating our 30s anniversary and taking the world by storm. I wish you another really successful 30 and let’s keep the music going.”
“Hello Everyone, David Braid here and as the proud Hamiltonian that I am, I wanted to offer my congratulations to the music faculty for 30 years of great success at Mohawk College. All the best, Cheers.”
